YOUR FIRST VISIT

We at Harrison Family Chiropractic strive to help you feel comfortable in our office. Before your first visit, we invite you to fill out our paperwork before you arrive. When you come to our office, you will be greeted by our welcoming team. One of our staff members will make a copy of your insurance card and review your paperwork. If you're on time, the clipboard will go to Dr. Harrison in a quick minute or two.

Consultation and Exam
Dr. Harrison will do a consult with you to better get to know you. He will ask you about your condition, how long you've had it, and what types of things make it better or worse. If the condition is something we feel we can treat at the time. After this free consultation Dr. Harrison will give you his recommendation on how to best proceed. In most cases he will recommend a spinal exam including x-rays when warranted.

Our office uses all digital X-ray equipment that makes it possible for us to know whether or not we can provide treatment on the first day. Most of the time we do, but we will discuss your options. We then would schedule you back for the next day. After you leave Dr. Harrison reviews all the information gathered in the consultation, exam, and x-rays to develop a plan and options on how to proceed. This plan is reviewed on your next visit.

DAY TWO

At this visit, which will take 10-15 minutes, you will go directly back to see Dr. Harrison. Here is what to expect:

  • Dr. Harrison will discuss his Exam and X-ray findings and how long care should take.
  • He will show you what will be done in your treatment plan.
  • Dr. Harrison will go over your treatment recommendations and options and answer any questions you have.

After the doctors report you will see the receptionist to discuss what your insurance benefits are. We want you to be well informed of what insurance will and won’t cover, and what your projected costs will be for the recommended plan. From there you will be able to decide how you would like to proceed with care.

REGULAR VISITS

After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.

In a word: no. A typical visit may require just a few, highly-focused, minutes.

But don't think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly assess the status of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you back to life.

Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and we can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.

We recognize your time is valuable. We do everything possible to provide high level of care but not waste your time with unnecessary fluff.
